Course Overview

EFR 12 Hour Care for Children is an innovative CPR, AED and First Aid course that teaches participants how to provide emergency care for ill or injured children and infants. This course teaches the lay rescuer how to follow the same priorities of care as used by Medical Professionals.

This course meets the regulatory requirements for professional child care providers in the UK such as nannies, nursury carers and child-minders and is recognised by SureStart.

Course Duration

2 days - this can be deilvered on week-days or at week-ends.

  • Scene assessment and protective barriers
  • Airway obstruction
  • Child and infant rescue breathing and CPR
  • Automated External Defibrillation for infants and children (AED)
  • Serious Bleeding
  • Shock Management
  • Spinal Injury Management
  • Bandaging
  • Burns and Scolds
  • Illness assessment including meningitus, febrile convulsions and sickle-cell
Costs

£120 per person including full colour manual and certification valid for 3 years.
