Course Overview

The new HSE Approved Emergency First Aid at Work course is a one day course, designed to give you the skills and confidence you need to deal with first aid injuries and incidents in a work place which has been determined as low risk, or where you are acting as a support first aider to others who are more highly qualified.

Under the new legilsation which came into force on the 1st October 2009, you must complete a first aid risk assessment in your organisation to determine the level of first aider you require.

 

Course Duration

  1 day  - 9.30am to 4pm

  • Scene Assessment and personal safety
  • Basic Life Support - CPR/Rescue breathing
  • Serious Bleeding
  • Spinal Injury and impact injuries
  • Shock Management
  • Bandaging and fractures
  • Heat related injuries
  • Illness Assessment
  • Treatment of minor injuries.

 

Costs

Open Course - £70 per person + VAT includes : Colour manual, A4 Wall certification, Plastic Card Certification and Personal Log Book. Certification is for 3 years. Qualification expiry reminder service
