Ashstead Plant Hire train with us

Monday 21st May 2018

We were once again delighted to be able to support A-Plant with their training requirements, when they contacted us to enquire about having a group course at their Chesterfield site to put ten people through the Level 3 Award in Education and Training. The course was held in their training academy and was delivered in two blocks of two days to give everyone time to prepare and practise their Micro Teach Presentation in between each block. Everyone clearly put in a lot of effort for their micro teach presentations as they were all amazing, and covered a wide range of teaching subjects including, how to use chopsticks, how to make paper roses, and fitting a safety harness correctly. The course was a great success with everyone delivering a great micro-teach and learning many new skills with which they can embedd into their own teaching practices.

This weekend saw 24 drivers from J&G Vesty Haulage, miss Harry and Meghans Wedding to take part in their cycling course. All 24 drivers ranked our training 10/10 with many of the drivers stating it was the best CPC course they had ever been on. Drivers took part in two 3.5 hour modules, with one group completing the classroom based training, while the other group were out on their bikes, and then they swapped over at lunch time. Both modules were highly ranked with the classroom session looking at a range of issues with sharing road space with other users, thoughts on new Shared Space Schemes, and a look at traffic segregation schemes. The practical on-cylce training module sees the drivers going…
