Paediatric Level 3 First Aid Award - Blended Learning
Who the course is for
This course is based on the Early Years syllabus for emergency first aid courses and is suitable for anyone who has a responsibility at work for children and infants including those who work in a voluntary capacity. This course is delivered by a Blended Learning approach and requires completion of on-line theory prior to attending the classroom training.

- First aid kits and legislation
- Primary care and scene surveys
- CPR and use of Defibrillators for infants and children
- Dealing with an unconscious child or infant
- Choking
- Seizures
- Minor Bleeding wounds
- Minor burns
- Other minor first aid injuries
- Fractures, dislocations, sprains and strains
- Head and Spinal Trauma
- Ear, Nose and Eye foreign bodies
- Eye injuries
- Recognising and dealing with a range of infant and child medical conditions or sudden illnesses
- Dealing with heat related conditions
- Sudden Poisoning
- Anaphylaxis
- There are seven practical skill assessments and 2 Multiple choice tests as part of the certification requirements
Course Duration:
6 hours on line theory learning which must be completed prior to attending the practical classroom
6 Hours practical classroom for Assessments.
Course Cost:
Open Course - £90 + vat per person
Group Course - £850 + vat for up to 12 delegates.
