Who the course is for

This course is specifically designed for safety officers, carers, and employees, who are nominated to take responsibility for evacuating people with reduced mobility from a workplace in the event of an emergency.

This course is specifically delivered face to face in the classroom so that your nominated chair handlers can feel and understand how heavy the chair can be to manoeuvre into position and on landings and turns. This course is really not suitable for On-Line training.

We use a variety of chair types for the training.

What the course covers

  • Understanding the legal requirements of the business
  • Being able to correctly prepare the evac chair for use
  • Safely loading and securing the evacuee
  • Operating the chair safely along corridors and staircases
  • Using correct manual handling techniques to avoid harm
  • Knowing how to put a Personal Evacuation Escape Plan together.

3 hours

Course Cost:
£450 + vat for up to 6 at our premises in Leicestershire
£580 + vat for up to 6 within 40 miles of our base
£690 + vat for up to 6 within 60 miles of base
Please enquire for greater distances as we will provide training nationwide. Your premises must have suitable stairways and corridors.
