Who the course is for

This is an essential course for those people who work in roles where injuries from contaminated sharps may occur, such as Street Cleaners, House Clearance, Drug Rehabilitation , Cleaners, Caretakers, Pest Control, Medical Staff etc.
This 3 hour course has practical activities to teach correct handling of sharps, in a safe and friendly learning environment

  • Be aware of places that sharps may be found
  • Know the risks involved in handling sharps
  • Have more awareness of Sharp Injury related diseases
  • Know how to dispose of sharps correctly.
  • Be able to apply correct first aid treatment for a sharp injury
  • Know how to report a sharp injury
