Are you ready to take your career in road haulage to the next level by becoming a qualified Transport Manager?

Anyone who holds a goods vehicle Standard National or International level operator licence must have a qualified and professionally competent Transport Manager (and it's highly recommended for those with Restricted licences). The Level 3 Certificate of Professional Competence for Transport Managers in Road Haulage is the qualification accepted by the Traffic Commissioners. The qualification also allows you to work as an external Transport Manager for operators who don't have an appropriately qualified person in-house.

This qualification will last you for life, with refresher courses advised every 5 years to keep up to date with changes to legislation and best practice.

Initial qualification as a Transport Manager

At Just Training, we deliver the Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport (CILT) syllabus over 10 days, plus 1 day for the exams. We offer the option of either remote delivery (via MS Teams) or classroom delivery from our training centre in South Wigston.

Whichever option you choose, you will be guaranteed high quality training by a qualified instructor. The price includes course materials, access to the e-learning platform, exam fees and trainer support throughout the course. Lunch and refreshments are provided if you choose classroom delivery.

Transport Manager refresher

Regulations within the road haulage industry change frequently, so qualified Transport Managers are advised to complete a 2-day refresher course every 5 years to ensure their knowledge up to date.

Operator Licence Awareness (OLAT) Training

This 1-day course is appropriate for any member of the transport management team who wish to refresh or improve their skills and knowledge of managing an operator licence for road haulage operations. It is also appropriate for those who have been instructed to attend by the Traffic Commissioner (e.g. following a public enquiry or prosecution).
